E-commerce

E-commerce has two different personalities on the web. Some websites are solely for the purpose of selling products and others have an e-commerce gateway which handles payments for using a websites service e.g. subscriptions.

After understanding which category your project will fit in there are a number of ways to start implementing e-commerce on your website. For a solely e-commerce website to sell products there are a great number of 3rd party solutions to build your website on. We can implement 3rd party scripts to your website which already contain the software to manage features such as stock levels, currency conversions, payment types and more. Some of these solutions are free and others require a one off fee to use a license against a website. Other solutions such as charging a user to use your website e.g. a subscription is slightly more complex than installing a 3rd party script, you may for example only start charging a user when they have view a certain number of articles or charge a one-off fee for a particular item and 3rd party scripts will not cover all of these processes. We provide the tools to integrate your requirements with some of the leading payment gateways out there, probably the most known being PayPal.
